May Diddy is a passionate performer and advocate whose journey from the stage to the screen has been shaped by resilience, determination, and a love for storytelling. A graduate of The New School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama, May has built a career in theater, film, and television, captivating audiences with her dynamic presence and heartfelt performances.
With extensive training in acting, voice, and dance, May has worked on a variety of theatrical productions, films, and television projects. She is dedicated to bringing authenticity to every role she takes on, using the power of performance to connect with audiences and inspire emotion.
Beyond her career in the arts, May’s journey has been deeply influenced by National American Miss (NAM). Competing in NAM as a young girl gave her the confidence, communication skills, and poise that later propelled her to the Miss Minnesota stage. The program instilled in her the belief that every girl has a voice worth hearing and a story worth sharing. After competing, May returned to NAM as a mentor, helping young women find the same confidence that transformed her life.
As a local titleholder in the Miss Minnesota and Miss America organizations, May uses her platform to raise awareness about substance misuse in young people—a cause deeply personal to her as someone in long-term recovery. Through her social impact initiative, Young, Sober & Thriving, she shares her story with students, legislators, healthcare professionals, and communities across Minnesota to spark conversation, reduce stigma, and inspire prevention.
In 2025, May launched her live children’s puppet show, “Miss May's Bright Spot,” a heart-centered program that helps young children learn emotional regulation and healthy coping skills through music, storytelling, and playful interaction. The show is part of her broader mission to support emotional wellness in children and provide early tools that can prevent harmful coping behaviors later in life.
Today, May is not only an actress but an educator, mentor, and advocate for empowerment, recovery, and emotional wellness. Whether performing, mentoring, or giving back to her community, she is dedicated to using her voice and platform to create meaningful change—and help the next generation shine a little brighter.
